    Peajib & Izzy

These are my baby girls, Peajib and Izzy. I was really lucky to get them and who would have thought that my Mom would let a dog in her house much less 2 dogs. But hey she got me Peajib. Peajib came into my life after I had major surgery for the removal of a tumor in my colon. I lost 18 inches of my colon but gained my Peajib which made the trade worth it. I almost didn't make it back from the surgery, was in Ohio State University in Columbus, ICU for 4 days hooked up to a respirator, when I finally got off that and into a room on the way to recovering, my Mom asked me "Now what do you want for making it through this." Of course being on a morphine pump I still had my sense of humor and surprisingly I was a fast thinker. I said " A puppy". lol Who knew she would get me one too. I didn't cause I was just joking, but she did. Six weeks later we were looking in the Columbus Dispatch and called on this add about Yorkshire Terriers so off to Columbus we go and came home with Peajib that night. She was six weeks old and just the cutest little thing.

You wonder about Peajib's name. What language is that? What does it mean? lol Well stop wondering your not going to guess it. Mom and I was trying to figure out a name for her, nothing fit. Then one morning Mom said "Peajib". I go "HUH" "I like that name but what is it, what does it mean?" My Mom said it means "little one." "Oh Ok, in other words it's an old Kentucky slang word." My Mom is from Pike County, Kentucky. She was born and raised there until she was about 10 or 11 years old. So a lot of those old words are still in her vocabulary, and some have infiltrated into mine. Such as when I say mine it will rhyme with nine. lol To prove the meaning of the name Peajib my Mom took me around to all her brothers and sisters that are living here and when the ones that lived away came to town. Well they all didn't have the exact same thought, but it was all the same meaning. Some said, Itty Bitty, Tiny, small thing, little one etc.... Hmmm Ok I can live with the name Peajib.

Peajib was almost 2 years old when I had her breed. She gave birth to three of the tiniest little puppies. Both of the boys weighed 4.24 ounces and Izzy weighed in at 3.25 ounces, yup she is the runt and last born too. Both of the boys were born on June 17th and Izzy on the 18th. A great birthday present for Peajib (June 20th) eh! Or not. lol I named her Isabella, why I don't know I just liked the name, but we call her Izzy for short, which now I like Izzy better. lol

Any way these are my babies, and just wanted you to met them. Peajib is on the left and Izzy is on the right with a bow in her hair.
